I was lucky enough to have been chosen to compose and sound design two beautiful short films to highlight the new app, Procreate Dreams by Procreate.

Both films were created and directed by the amazing Michael Relth.

Overall, I'm extremely proud of how both of these films came out and they were a big highlight out of all the work I did in 2023!

The Witch's Ghosts

This was the first film I worked on with Michael because we wanted to make sure we nailed down the aesthetic before moving forward with both films.

Overall this was similar to "Between Lines" but I took a more personal approach as I began scoring this project. I really wanted to channel the character's feelings so I tried to put myself in her shoes in order to write something that felt not too sad, but almost kind of melancholy.

We kept the instrumentation relatively simple, starting with the piano and then slowly opening up the score, just as the main character begins to grow and brighten towards the end of the film.

I really enjoyed getting to use my voice as a way to support the feelings of the main character. At times, the vocal harmony parts almost felt more like sound effects which I particularly enjoyed playing with.
